Yesterday, Ames received an interesting package from my friend Libby. I had told her that he liked letters and stamps. Well, the truth is that stamps are just special stickers, and that's why he likes them.

Libby wanted to foster this boy's interest so she sent him HER childhood stamp collection. Here he is opening his special package!

Libby sent the stamps still wrapped up in the organizational envelopes she made for stamps from different countries. (They look just like envelopes I would have made around age 10!)

The stamps have now been pulled out and since the boy can't read, they will be reorganized in some future year, or now by color and shape! He was somewhat disappointed to find that they were all already used, stuck and cancelled! But he found a lick and stick that was available for practice.

He agreed with Libby that they don't taste very good.
