Happy Father's Day!
I hear that Mom is bringing you in a special meal-- lucky you!
On Saturday, I made lunch for Paul and his colleague-from-D.C., Robert. For the first time this summer, we ate out on the back porch.
We had egg salad; a green salad with lettuce, kohlrabi and cucumbers topped with delicious yogurt-herb dressing; sauerkraut; hiziki seaweed (that's the really small brown kind); and potato salad with green beans, feta and mint. We juiced kale and black grapes for a drink, and had strawberries and chocolate for dessert.
Paul and Robert had been hiking in the foothills all morning, and agreed that it was the perfect lunch for a hot day. Afterwards, Robert drove to the airport and flew back to D.C.
